Humility Cooper was one of the few children at the very first Thanksgiving in 1621. She was only one year old when she came to the New World with her aunt & uncle. Although her aunt and uncle did not survive their first winter, she remained in Plymouth until she was in her late teens. She was baptized on March 17th in England at the age of 19.
I was drawn to this little girl for several reasons but most notably, because her baptism date is my son’s birthday and her last name is my grandmothers last name.
